Beltane Forest Retreat & Ceremony: Connection for Gentle Re-Emergence

The tree people have been whispering their welcome in gentle invitation and steady embrace.…

Come reconnect with your radiant sovereign joy.

You are invited to a sensory retreat of luscious slowness to celebrate Beltane, the Celtic high holy day and cosmic gateway between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice in the Wheel of the Year. We will gather in spacious presence on 20 acres of enchanted private forest to celebrate the union of Sun/Oak King and Earth/May Queen. Together with your three facilitators and the spirits of the land, we offer a supportive release and gentle re-emergence to honor the transformative chrysalis of the past year, and fill your cup with nourishing practices for mind, body, and soul. We have been preparing an array of delightful and potent offerings to inspire, uplift, and fortify your spirit through the thresholds and realms of your journey.

Come, sisters, and immerse yourselves in artistry, alchemy, and forest magic for an elemental refresh.

Practicalities & Policies:

Open to 7 women, this magical day-long retreat will be set entirely out of doors. We will practice safe social distancing in open air, and engage in honoring practices for the health and well-being of one another and the land. We request all participants bring their masks for any occasions where we may gather in closer proximity. The forest location is off the grid and rustic. There is a composting toilet for use, and plenty of space to give your waters directly to the Earth. We will provide light snacks and tea service. To practice sustainability and safe handling, we ask participants to bring their own sack lunches, beverages, utensils, mugs and water bottles, as well as any desired snacks and dinner if partaking in the additional evening fire ceremony. Please bring blankets to sit on outside, as well as any other items to facilitate your comfort (pillows, blocks, camp chairs). As is the nature of the Pacific NW this time of year, please prepare for all expressions of weather with various layers for maximum comfort. Unless the day is a complete downpour, we will gather in rainy and sunny spells.

꩜ An optional evening program open only to participants of the day retreat will include a ceremonial Beltane fire with story weaving and a special guest to activate dancing and festive faerie merriment.

꩜ Registered participants will receive detailed directions to our retreat location, as well as a list of recommended items to bring for our day of embodied ritual. Any questions regarding location and directions can be directed to Sufjana: sufjana.moon@gmail.com

All other questions and interest can be directed to Adria: adria@artandchannel.com or McKinley Diana: mckinley.secl@gmail.com

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel please do so within 48 hours and we will refund 50% of the investment.

If there is an emergency that comes up on the day of the event and/or you wake up feeling unwell having any symptoms of fever, cough, sore throat, etc. we will honor a full refund.

Meet Your Facilitators:

Adria Khemia Morningstar is a poet, mother, and priestess in the tradition of Avalon. Her background in ritual and performance art inspires her to craft embodied experiences, as well as honor the cycles of story that weave through each of us. She offers her gifts as Art&Channel with creative soul guidance, ceremony & ritual, and alchemical potions. Along with "body as material" practices and performance art training with Marina Abramovic and Firenza Guidi, she translates German poetry, particularly enjoying deep dives through timespace with Rainer Maria Rilke.

LOVES: warm wind on bare skin, dark chocolate, music in minor keys, orange blossoms, oak leaves, playing with the inner muse, giggling with her one-year-old daughter, the sound of ripping paper, truffle salt, talking to strangers, and benign mischief.

McKinley Diana Šeclová Murray is a Musician, Artist, and Animistic Alchemist. She is a gardener of her ancestral folk medicine ways seed-planting imaginative dreamwork as a gateway to eco-mystic embodiment and Earth kinship. Her background in International Development Studies, Massage Therapy, and an ongoing recovery from traumatic brain injury has cultivated a ceremonial facilitation practice rooted in contemplative ritual and respect for conscious engagement with carried and encountered histories. Her artistry has grown through her devotion to rock climbing and travels through Otherworldly realms, offered as talismanic creations through her emerging studio- Fables & FoxTales.

All the whimsy: loves martial arts, tea ceremony, and anything tiny; the vanilla scent of old books; pressed flowers and wax stamped letters; the poetic mysticism of the alchemy of paint, pigment, and perfumery; Faerie folklore and gilded Celtic knot-working; weeping over snow-capped mountains; and whispered creature songs in starry night symphonies.
