As a writer, translator of German poetry, and creative consultant, my engagement with the creative process is influenced by studies in music (Indiana University), theatre (Butler University), and multi-media performance art (Institute for Applied Theatre Science at Justus-Liebig Universität, Giessen, Germany).

The art of gathering, facilitating, and cultivating sacred space is inspired by theatre directing studies with Dr. John Green, as well as initiation as a RITUAL Priestess with Sianna Sherman, blending the wisdom of Celtic, yogic, shamanic, and mystery practices. The manner of shaping a durational container for amplifying real presence is a manifestation of studying and creating performance art pieces with Marina Abramovic. Performance work with Firenza Guidi of ELAN in Italy influences my ability to adapt and work spontaneously within the structure of space.

I have co-created and performed in live theater, original performance art pieces, and site specific performances in London, Germany, Italy (including at the European Theater Festival), and the United States, including at the Kennedy Center (Beckettworks, 2000).

My work (and play!) has ranged from university administration, production design in film and television, to creating, directing, and managing live performances and facilitating events. I practice meditation and yoga, balancing introspective nature through writing, translation, and poetry with the expressive nature of movement, dance, and connecting people in time and space through ceremony.
